CBSE Curriculum

The school’s Middle and high school programme prepares the students for high school and higher educational programmes. The main components of the curriculum are Knowledge, Skills, Concepts, Attitudes, Action:

Knowledge – which is both disciplinary & trans-disciplinary is represented by traditional subject areas – language, mathematics, science, social studies, arts and PSPE.

Skills – which are the broad capabilities students develop and apply during learning and in life beyond the classroom.

Concepts – which students explore through structured inquiry in order to develop coherent, in-depth understanding, and which have relevance both within and beyond subject areas

Attitudes – which contribute to open-mindedness and the wellbeing of individuals learning communities

Action – which leads to responsible, thoughtful and appropriate action.

The subjects offered are English, Hindi,Mathematics,Social Science,Science,French/ Sanskrit/ Punjabi, General Knowledge, Moral Education.

Secondary Curriculum (Classes IX-X)

Being affiliated to CBSE, the school follows the CBSE pattern of assessment. The examination from Academic Year 2021-22 will be conducted as per the remodeled Periodic assessment structure. 
The school follows the NCERT books prescribed by CBSE and the curriculum has been mapped out and prepared in adherence to the guidelines of the National Curriculum framework. It seeks to develop 21st century learning and life skills, namely language proficiency, build up leadership and organizational skills, critical thinking and original imagination which in turn will enable the students to become successful global citizens.

For Classes IX and X, apart from  the 5 compulsory subjects which include English, Hindi, Social Studies, Mathematics and Science, the students  of class X  are required to select at least one skill-based subject as prescribed by the Board under latest CCE norms.

IGCSE

The IGCSE is a comprehensive two year program for Grades 9 and 10. It is a balanced mix of practical experience and theoretical knowledge. It is a universally recognized qualification among international schools and universities worldwide

The course offers sound international education, regularly updates and extends the curriculum. Cambridge IGCSE helps improve learning performance by developing skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving. It is the perfect springboard to advanced study

Assessment for Cambridge IGCSE takes place at the end of the two-year course and includes written and oral tests, coursework and practical assessment. The School has the option of assessing learners using only external examinations or, in most subjects, combining examinations with coursework. Coursework is set and marked by the teacher and externally moderated by CAIE.
